Dynamo Minsk loses to Shanghai Dragons in overtime
The second home match of the Fonbet regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League season 2026/2027 was held on the ice of Minsk-Arena.

The second home match of the Fonbet regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League season 2026/2027 took place on the ice of Minsk Arena on September 10. Dynamo hosted the Shanghai Dragons. The meeting ended with a score of 4:3 in favor of the guests, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
Zubry began the meeting actively and already in the first 20 seconds of the match opened the scoring. Young defender Arseniy Chukhraev gave an effective transfer to Sam Enas, and he accurately threw the puck into the goal of Pavel Khomchenko - 1: 0. The hosts continued to attack. In one of the episodes, young defenders, for example, Maxim Maltsev, joined, and then Arseny Chukhraev made a good throw. But to double the advantage of Minsk did not work. And the guests didn't miss their chance. Under the curtain of the starting twenty minutes, the Dragons punished the "dents" for oversight and restored parity - 1: 1.

Already in the second half, the guests came forward: striker Brett Murray from the transfer of defender Vladimir Kuznetsov scored the second puck of the Dragons - 1: 2. The response of the Minskers did not take long to wait. It took only six seconds for Dynamo to take advantage of the win. Ty Smith made the transfer to Sam Anas, he got into the frame of the goal, and on finishing the quickest of all was defender Sergey Kuznetsov - 2: 2.
In the third period, the "teeth" took over again. Chris Tierney applied to the puck, which after a ricochet from the defender's stick changed the trajectory and was in the goal - 3: 2. It seemed that Minsk again seized the initiative, but to keep the advantage failed. Forward Dmitry Yashkin from the far fifth did not leave chances to the goalkeeper of “Dynamo” – 3: 3. So the score froze to the final siren.

The winner was determined in overtime. It was not long to wait for the denouement: the guests caught their moment and put an end to the nervous ending. “Shanghai Dragons” took the victory from Minsk – 4: 3.
At the post-match conference, the head coach of Dynamo Minsk Sergey Brylin noted that his team created enough chances to win, but could not realize its opportunities.

- Somewhere today’s game was like the first one, with Torpedo. I said to the guys: Of course, this is not the result we deserved and expected. We created a lot of moments, but we couldn’t implement them. And again, as in previous matches, we were punished for our own mistakes. If you evaluate these two meetings, the result could be quite different, he said.
The coach also noted that the tension increased especially at the end of the match, when the teams worked out the relationship already in overtime.
- Today, in my opinion, without revising the game, we looked very good in segments, created a lot of chances, but in the end we could not crack the opponent’s goalkeeper. When the game is always going with a difference of one puck, any mistake or removal leads to such nervousness in the end, said Brylin.

Thus, Dynamo lost the second home match of two at the start of the season. Earlier, the Minskers lost to Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo - 3: 4 on the bullies. The Shanghai Dragons won their second victory in three championship matches.
The next match Dynamo Minsk will hold on September 12 against the Moscow club of the same name. The next home meeting will take place on September 18. On this day, the "teeth" will take "Siberia", the fight begins at 19:00.
