Alexandra Sasnovich (WTA: 101) completed her performance at the WTA 250 tournament with a prize pool of $283,347 in Hong Kong. In the match of the 1/4 finals, the Belarusian athlete lost to the Greek Maria Sakkari (WTA: 30) – 2:6, 3:6, sb.by reports.

Earlier, the second racket of our country without visible problems passed two rounds of qualification, and also won over American Katie Volynets (WTA: 78) (6:3, 6:2) and Australian Talia Gibson (WTA: 36) (6:1, 5:7, 7:6) in the games of the main grid. But today, November 6, to extend the winning streak, unfortunately, did not work.
In the first set, the Belarusian did not keep two games on her own serve, and she never managed to distinguish herself at the reception. In the second game, the representative of our tennis school added a little, but she still failed to make a change in the course of the struggle. Sakkari made one break more (two against one) and closed the match in his favor, not bringing it to the third set.
The final of the competition in Hong Kong is scheduled for Sunday, November 8.
In 2025, the winner of this tournament was Canadian Victoria Mboko. In the decisive match, she defeated Christina Bukshu from Spain with a score of 7:5, 6:7 (9:11), 6:2. Sobolenko’s rivals were determined at the group stage of the Women’s Tennis Association Final Tournament
