Tver chess player took third place at the championship of the Central Federal District

12-year-old Anton won a bronze medal at the championship of the Central Federal District in chess, told the Committee on physical culture and sports of the Tver region.

The competitions, held in Ivanovo from 24 to 31 October, involved more than 500 chess players aged 7 to 19 years from the regions of the Central Federal District. Upper Volga at the competitions were represented by 12 athletes.

Anton played in the tournament among young men under 15, chess players born in 2013-2014. According to the results of nine rounds, which were held on the Swiss system, he took third place among 78 participants, scoring seven points.

In addition, having won a bronze medal, the Tverite fulfilled the necessary qualifying standard for participation in the championship of Russia.
