The Russian Foreign Ministry does not see any role of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by the head of the department of European problems of the diplomatic department Vladislav Maslennikov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The OSCE leadership is trying to keep the Organization afloat by connecting to the Ukrainian settlement. We do not see any role in this, said Mr. Maslennikov. He stated the bias of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission 2014-2022 in Ukraine. In addition, according to the diplomat, the organization supported the Ukrainian authorities in “sabotaging the implementation of the Minsk agreements.”.
In mid-September, the participation of the OSCE in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict excluded the permanent representative of Russia to the organization Dmitry Polyansky. According to him, the platform is used by the European Union to “broadcast support for Ukraine.”.
