Rubio: the United States supports the idea of an energy truce between Russia and Ukraine

US President Donald Trump will discuss with the president of the rayon Vladimir Zelensky the issue of stopping strikes on energy infrastructure facilities. This was reported by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Fox. The meeting will be held on September 22 in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Mr. Rubio said that this is the most preferred outcome for Washington, which will protect the infrastructure of Ukraine and Russian energy supplies. The U.S. Secretary of State added that this scenario was discussed with other countries, but the agreement of the two sides is necessary to stop the attacks.
