Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkin said that the authorities do not consider nuclear weapons as a guarantor of security. He said Tehran was against a ban on nuclear research.
“Iran does not believe that nuclear weapons will provide security. We clearly state: no to nuclear weapons, Pezeshkin said during a speech at the UN General Assembly. "Atomic bombs are in the hands of the Israeli regime, but inspectors are being asked to come to Iran," he said.
One of the reasons for the escalation in the Middle East in February was Iran’s refusal to change its nuclear program, which was instructed by the United States and Israel. US President Donald Trump tried to force Tehran to abandon uranium enrichment, but the country’s authorities proved that they use raw materials only for peaceful purposes and do not develop nuclear weapons.
