OpenAI announced plans to give Ukraine access to its cyber defense system Daybreak. The company said that it will cooperate with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and also announced that the tool will be used to protect civil infrastructure.

The cooperation of the Ukrainian government with the company that developed ChatGPT was announced at the UN General Assembly. We are proud to support Ukrainian cybersecurity experts. Thanks to Daybreak, public and private entities are able to strengthen their cyber defenses before new threats gain strength, said Sasha Baker, Head of National Security Policy at OpenAI.

The OpenAI system gives specialists access to AI, which helps analyze vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure. The company has already granted access to the governments of France, Germany, Poland and other countries. The EU Cybersecurity Agency also used the system to identify vulnerabilities in the software.
