Chinese President Xi Jinping at a meeting with US President Donald Trump said that in the coming days, two pandas will arrive at the Atlanta Zoo. Pandas are ambassadors of friendship between the peoples of China and the United States.

“Today I want to share the good news: in a few days, two pandas, Ping-Ping and Fu Shuang, will arrive at their new home at the Atlanta Zoo and meet American visitors,” Xi said during a visit to the White House.

The United States first received two pandas in 1972 following a visit to China by President Richard Nixon. In April, the Chinese Wildlife Conservation Association said it would send two giant pandas to the Atlanta Zoo.
