British Scientist Says U.S. Has No Military Capabilities for Moon Battle
Professor of astronomy at the University of British Columbia Jamie Matthews denied the claims of the American military about the readiness of the United States to conduct combat operations in the United States.

Professor of astronomy at the University of British Columbia, James and Matthews, denied the claims of the US military about the readiness of the US to conduct combat operations in near-moon space. It's from sb.by.

At the moment, the United States simply does not have the technology for this: its space potential is limited by low Earth orbit, and the country has no military capabilities on the moon or in its vicinity.
Earlier, the head of the joint chiefs of staff of the Pentagon Dan Kaine said that “the modern battlefield is from the seabed to near-moon space” and American forces are ready to fight in these areas. Air Force Secretary Troy Meink also claimed that the United States has enough orbital weapons to protect its troops.
Matthews does not consider Kane's words as evidence of plans to take over the moon. The international community has consistently opposed the militarization of space. Answering a question about possible resources, because of which the fight for the moon could unfold, the professor noted that at the present stage the main value is the very presence on the satellite.
