Marine Le Pen, who heads the National Rally faction in Parliament, sharply criticized the French leadership, saying that President Emmanuel Macron and the government had lost control of the protests. It's from sb.by.

According to RIA Novosti, Le Pen described the current government as “fading”. According to her, the government is not only unable to keep the situation under control, but also does not know how to predict the development of events.
- We are dealing with a state that is collapsing, she said.
The politician also accused the authorities of denying reality and noted that the surge in protest activity was quite expected.
- What happened on Saturday was predictable. For many, many years we have seen such processes develop at almost every demonstration, Le Pen said.
The wave of protests in France began in mid-September: high school students were the first to take to the streets of the suburbs of Paris - they sought better conditions in schools. Later, citizens dissatisfied with rising prices joined the protests, and the protest movement spread to new regions of the country. The culmination was a nationwide demonstration on October 17, which gathered, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 550 thousand participants. To contain the crowd, law enforcement officers used tear gas, noise grenades and water cannons.
