The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party was subjected to a massive hacking attack that could have exposed hundreds of thousands of emails. It's from sb.by.

As TASS notes with reference to the newspaper Bild, representatives of the AfD confirmed the fact of a cyber attack, but did not provide information about the scale of the leak. It is known that unknown hackers broke into the mailboxes of the party and posted materials on the Internet. It is estimated that the dataset includes 421,179 emails with a total volume of 281 GB. One of the specialized sites has already published brief reviews of the contents of the letters, prepared using artificial intelligence. It is alleged that among the senders are leading AfD politicians, including party co-chair Alice Weidel, honorary chairman Alexander Gauland and Bundestag MP Leif-Eric Holm.
Bild experts, who received limited access to the published materials, revealed personal documents of party members in the data array. So, the network leaked photos of the identity card of the deputy head of the AfD faction in the Bundestag Marcus Fronmaier and other representatives of the party. Among the published are financial accounts, bank statements, diplomas, applications for membership and lists of members of the district offices of the AfD in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
- In September 2026, there was a hacker attack on the hosting provider of our party, in which, apparently, fragments of the contents of several mailboxes were illegally copied, most of which have not been used for many years, a representative of the AfD told Bild.
Whether the published documents are authentic and whether they were stolen during this hack has not yet been established. The spokesman added that the attack was quickly stopped. All affected users have been informed. Operating mailboxes of the AfD federal apparatus were not damaged. The fact of posting letters on the network is checked.
