The United States is seeking to agree on a temporary truce in Ukraine before the beginning of the winter period. This was stated by the President of Finland Alexander Stubb, writes sb.by.

According to Alexander Stubb, the key condition for a possible ceasefire may be the refusal of both sides from attacks on energy infrastructure.
Stubb linked the intensification of the negotiation process with a number of recent trips to Moscow: there were special envoys of the US President Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, CIA Director John Ratcliffe. According to the Finnish leader, this reflects the intention of Donald Trump to strengthen his participation in the settlement of the conflict.
Earlier on Monday, September 21, Trump noted that it is important for Ukraine to reach agreements with Russia before the onset of winter.
