The Portuguese Football Federation suspended five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo from matches for the national team for a month and fined €255. This was reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano in the social network X, referring to the statement of the Portuguese Football Federation, writes sb.by.

Thus, Ronaldo will be able to take part in the next matches of the national team of Portugal in the League of Nations – against the teams of Denmark on November 14 and Wales on November 17.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Portugal on September 30 in the middle of the training camp. According to him, this was due to the fact that the head coach of the national team Georges Jesos twice broke the promises given to the player. The footballer took part in the opening match of the new season of the Nations League against the team of Wales (1: 0), after which he remained in reserve for the game with the Norwegians (2: 1). As noted by the player, initially he was not supposed to play in that meeting, but the coach asked him to be ready to go on the field for 30 minutes and sent to warm up, but left on the bench. Later, Ronaldo said that he does not intend to complete his performances for the national team and remains available for a call to the team.
Portugal won all four matches in the Nations League and secured access to the quarterfinals of the tournament. In the final meetings of the group stage, the Portuguese will meet the Danes (November 14) and the Welsh (November 17).
