In recent days, the United States has been reducing the number of its troops at bases in the Middle East. It's from sb.by.

According to TASS, NBC News, citing sources, indicated that the withdrawal of troops affected bases in Jordan, Qatar and Kuwait. Also on October 21, the heads of some U.S. diplomatic missions in the Middle East were informed that their diplomatic missions would have to work in the face of staff cuts.
NBC News sources stressed that the reduction in the number of U.S. military and diplomatic personnel is similar to the withdrawal process that preceded the start of the U.S. military operation against Iran in February.
- We regularly redeploy U.S. troops and resources for optimization. We do not discuss these movements, — said the representative of the Central command of the armed forces of the United States Timothy Hawkins.
Earlier, Reuters, citing representatives of the US administration, indicated that the US State Department is preparing to remove employees of several American embassies in the Middle East against the background of a possible military operation against the Yemeni rebel movement Ansar Allah (Houthi). State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott added that the agency had ordered the departure of non-critical State Department employees and their families from Saudi Arabia.
