Trump announces indefinite deal with Denmark: US gets control of Greenland security
Washington immediately begins to build up its military presence “in a certain part of Greenland,” Trump said.

US President Donald Trump announced the conclusion of an indefinite agreement with Denmark and Greenland, under which the rights to ensure the security of the island pass to the United States. He wrote about it in the social network Truth Social.
“I am pleased to announce that the United States has entered into an agreement with the Kingdom of Denmark and Greenland that places the United States in permanent control of Greenland’s security and other needs,” Trump said.
According to him, Washington immediately begins to increase its military presence in a certain part of Greenland.
“From now on, no adversary of the United States will ever be able to have a base in Greenland, a military contingent, a confidential investment in Greenland without our written consent,” he said.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained that Denmark and Greenland do not have enough money to ensure the safety of the island in the event of an attack.
