The Italian government will send 500 troops to enforce law and order in Milan. The corresponding decree will be approved at an emergency meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country on October 20, writes sb.by.

According to TASS with reference to the newspaper Il Messaggero, the decision on this measure was made during a meeting of representatives of law enforcement agencies, the interior Ministry led by Prime Minister George Meloni. Soldiers are heading to Milan as reinforcements after episodes of riots and pogroms in the city over the weekend. The damage to the trade sector alone is estimated at €700 million.
On October 16, a wave of protests against the government of Georgie Meloni and its policies swept across Italy. These protests began as student protests.
The German government ruled out the possibility of a surge of protests across Europe amid unrest in France
