Kazakhstan fascinated Paris with the taste of the steppe
Kazakhstan took part in the International Gastronomy Festival in Paris for the second time in a row, and its national pavilion was among the most visited on the entire site, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the French Republic reported

Most of the attention of guests of the holiday gathered traditional cuisine. For tasting offered meat in Kazakh, Kuyrdak and Baursaki, and Kazy and Jay brought specially from Kyzylorda. Prepared treats iconic for Kazakhstani gastronomy figures - chef Manas Skak, Rasim Konaev and Karligash Baymukhamedova, who at the same time explained to visitors where these dishes came from, how they are prepared and what place traditional cuisine occupies in the life of the Kazakh people. For many guests, this was not just a tasting, but a real immersion in culture.
Separately, the audience was hooked by the author’s desserts with a national flavor – they were invented by Sabina Tanatarova, who graduated from the Parisian culinary school Le Cordon Bleu. In her works, modern confectionery techniques were combined with traditional Kazakh tastes: talcan, milk tea and other characteristic ingredients, thanks to which the guests of the festival were able to literally taste the atmosphere of the Kazakh steppe.
The program was complemented by the cultural part: the ensemble “Syrgalym” from the Kyzylorda region performed with song and dance numbers, and the bright national costumes of the artists turned the pavilion into a real holiday.
The tenth anniversary festival gathered participants from more than 80 countries and was held under the patronage of the President of France, and the patron of 2026 was the world-famous French chef Alain Ducasse.
