The second festive day of the XXXIII Belarusian Written Language Day pleased the guests with poetic meetings, presentations of author’s works and quest games for children on September 6, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- On the Belarusian Written Language Day, writers from all over the country gathered. Natives of Mogilev region, Brest region, Gomel region, Vitebsk region, representatives of the Minsk regional organization and other regions gathered here. They're prose writers, poets, playwrights. I am sure that today will give each guest a lot of new meetings and acquaintances, and the main stage will be a place where you can see your favorite contemporary authors, hear their works, communicate in person and get a book with an autograph, said Mikhail Pozdnyakov, Chairman of the Minsk City Branch of the Union of Writers of Belarus, poet, prose writer, translator, critic and linguist.

At the festival in Kostyukovichi gathered more than a hundred writers – both already recognized and famous authors, and very young, but no less talented prose writers and poets. Winners of the National Literary Award, members of the Union of Writers of Belarus and winners of national and international competitions took to the main stage to present their works, share emotions and inspiration.

- On the big stage, I introduced myself and told about myself, my creative path. I have read some of my own poems. All of them are based on my personal experience, so each of them is a part of my soul. It is important that what is written finds its reader. You can write for self-expression, but each author is still looking for his audience. And when there are such sites, it is just wonderful, said Yevgenia Prokopchuk, a member of the Brest branch of the Union of Writers of Belarus.

An integral part of the holiday was the award ceremony for the winners of the contest “And the planet Kuleshov is spinning”. The laureates were awarded diplomas and memorable awards.
This eventful day gave young Belarusian authors faith in their own creativity and allowed guests to immerse themselves in the special atmosphere of the Belarusian word. In the open air, not only melodic poems, but also fervent songs filled with the sound of the Belarusian language spread far beyond the stage.

- I don’t often hear so many Belarusian speeches. I am a native of another country, but I love Belarusian culture and literature. And just to listen to the Belarusian speech is always pleasant to me, — said the visitor Sergey.
National traditions were honored and sang at every step. The program of the second day included numerous literary meetings and presentations. The guests were presented with the book “Anthem of the Belarusian Zhanchyne”, as well as the works of the poetess, prose writer and children’s writer Tamara Kovalchuk – “The Magical Way of Princess Limonka”, “Azyarnitsa Chornag Razera” and “I Wrap Murke Slipki”.

Her books “The Land of Biascontsaga Hour”, “Praz Zahad on the Sunshine” and other works were presented by the poetess, prose writer and publicist Natalia Sovietnaya. In addition, within the framework of the holiday, presentations of the poetess, prose writer and playwright Svetlana Lastochkina, as well as poetess Natalia Svetlova, were held.
- I am glad that Belarusian literature does not stand still and does not return to the endless cycle of reflection on the Belarusian golden age. Our writers, including representatives of the Union of Writers of Belarus, are constantly looking for new approaches, topics and meanings, rethinking them in relation to today. And if there are such ideologically charged people who are ready to write, tell and, most importantly, do it almost unselfishly, it means that our country will prosper, and our children will live in it at least no worse than we do.

At the same time, children's zones and quest games were provided for the holiday. Schools and educational institutions have prepared a number of intellectual and active entertainments with memorable gifts. Children could draw, collect puzzles, go on an exciting quest journey, test their accuracy by throwing rings, play giant checkers and, of course, get acquainted with modern children's literature.

- Today I walked a lot at the holiday: I went through all the tents, looked at interesting exhibits, jumped on a trampoline and even climbed on the slides. I'm good at school, I try, but I read mostly extracurricular literature. Most of all, I like fantastic books and stories, said Diana, an elementary school student.
