The modernization plan is worked out annually for each industry. So, over the next two years, a new site for processing cocoa beans will be built at one of the confectionery enterprises. It is required to completely avoid dependence on the purchase of goods such as cocoa grated, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and so reduce the cost of production of finished products.

- The project requires certain solutions to fit into the existing production. Nevertheless, the degree of readiness is quite high. At this stage, the process of acquiring the missing equipment is underway, said Oleg Zhidkov.

In addition, projects are being implemented in the confectionery and alcohol industries to solve issues with the formation of multi-tonnage waste, on their basis to obtain an additional food product that will be suitable for animal feeding, use in the feed industry. Another important project concerns the granulation of rapeseed meal.

At the enterprises, modernization was organized to increase the volume of sugar beet processing per day.

- The process is quite stretched in time, expensive, because it is tied to the manufacture and supply of non-standard technological equipment, said Oleg Zhidkov.

He shared how the confectionery industry prepares for the New Year and what happens to cocoa bean prices. According to the head of Belgospishcheprom, this year the enterprises planned to produce about 2.5 million New Year gifts weighing from 300 g to 3 kg. But the number may change. When forming an assortment, the requests and preferences of buyers are taken into account.

Answering the question of how forecasts about the shortage of cocoa beans in the world are reflected in the market, Oleg Zhidkov did not exclude speculation on such information in order to warm up interest in buying more products.

- We see that the prices of cocoa beans have stabilized. They are in the range of 5-5.5 thousand euros per ton against 12 thousand, which was. This allows us to be optimistic about production plans and the formation of a fair price, said Oleg Zhidkov.

A pool of cocoa bean suppliers has developed, but new partners are emerging that offer raw materials from other regions, he said. Stocks of raw materials allow you to work more than before the end of the year.

- In fact, contracting for the supply of new batches is carried out not at the moment, but with a view to the future. As a rule, we already calculate our volumes for 4-5 months ahead, added Oleg Zhidkov. For eight months, Belgospishcheprom increased exports by a quarter
