Since the beginning of 2026, the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia has sent 2.8 million rubles to Yaroslavl companies as part of the support program for employment of preferential categories of citizens.
This initiative provides for partial reimbursement of labor costs when hiring combat veterans who participated in a special military operation, relatives of those killed in the performance of military duty during the SVO, people with disabilities, as well as single and large parents who raise minor children or children with disabilities.
The program can be attended by organizations with any status, including non-profit structures, as well as individual entrepreneurs registered before January 1, 2026. Payment is appointed on the basis of the selection of applicants, while information about candidates comes from employment centers.
As the head of the Yaroslavl branch of the SFR Sergey Rusov noted, the project has been operating for five years. In 2025, it received an additional impetus due to the implementation of the national project “Personnel”. Over the past period, the funds of the Fund allowed more than 420 citizens to get a new job. 178 employers received compensation, the total amount of transfers amounted to about 21 million rubles. This year, payments have already been made to 17 policyholders for a total of 2.85 million rubles, which made it possible to employ 27 people.
The key condition for participation is the absence of the company or entrepreneur overdue arrears on wages, tax payments, insurance premiums, penalties and penalties on the date of filing the application. In addition, the employment contract should be executed indefinitely and provide for full employment of the employee. The level of wages may not be less than one and a half times the minimum wage.
Financial support is transferred to the employer in three tranches: the first - a month after registration of the employee, the second - in three months, the third - in six months. The standard size of the subsidy is equal to three minimum wages. If the company hires a person with a disability, and the employer or its founder is also a person with a disability, the amount of compensation is doubled and amounts to six minimum wages.
