Kotelnichanka will spend 15 years in prison for the massacre of his infant son

The judicial authorities of the region have completed the consideration of the criminal case.

The materials collected by the Kotelnich Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia were found sufficient to make an indictment under the article on the murder of a minor.

The tragic events unfolded in the city of Kotelnich on the night of June 1 of this year.

As investigators found out and the court confirmed, a young mother who was in a drunken state on the basis of sudden hostility struck her hand several times on the head of her 2-month-old child.

From his injuries, the baby died at the scene.

To avoid suspicion, the girl made an attempt to hide the traces of what she had done. Together with her partner, she transported her son to the neighboring village of Leninskaya Iskra, Kotelnichsky district.

There, the couple hid the body of the child in a farm building located on the territory of one of the abandoned buildings.

Previously, the suspect was taken into custody, and during the entire period of the preliminary investigation, she was in the remand prison.

To restore the full picture of the tragedy, the investigators carried out a large-scale complex of procedural measures and forensic examinations. The evidence obtained formed the basis of the final accusation.

After considering all the materials of the case, the court sentenced the accused to 15 years in prison. The convicted person must serve the appointed term in a correctional colony of general regime.

At the moment, the court decision has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed.
