Do not rush to remove apples after the first freeze

After freezing, the apples may look intact, but some of the defects appear later. It is not necessary to remove them immediately: frozen fabrics are easily damaged when they are torn off, pressed and shifted.
Let the fruit thaw naturally on the tree, then separate such a batch from the main one. Check for tightness, flesh color, and cracks. Watery, loose, browned or highly softened apples are not suitable for long-term storage.
Even apparently normal fruits after a weak freezing are better to use earlier. Internal russeting may not appear immediately, so it is useful to cut some of the apples and re-check them.
