In Grodno district, a motorcyclist hit a girl with a bicycle – a criminal case was opened

On the fact of an accident in Grodno district, in which two people were injured, a criminal case was opened. This was reported in the Investigative Committee, writes sb.by.

According to the investigation, on October 9, at about 22:50 hours, a 21-year-old motorcycle driver, carrying a 19-year-old girl in the passenger seat, was moving along the Gozha-Tsidovici highway.

When driving in the direction of the village of Cidovici, the motorcycle driver did not take timely measures to reduce the speed up to the vehicle stop and knocked down a 23-year-old female pedestrian who was driving a bicycle on the right edge of the carriageway in a passing direction.

As a result of the accident, the pedestrian suffered serious bodily injuries. A passenger of a motorcycle with injuries of varying severity was hospitalized in the city clinical hospital of emergency medical care.

An investigative team was working at the scene of the accident. The investigator, with the involvement of traffic police officers, carried out a detailed inspection, recorded a trace picture, appointed a number of expert studies.

The Investigative Department of the UCK in the Grodno region opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 317 (violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation by a person driving a vehicle, resulting in negligence in causing serious bodily harm) of the Criminal Code.
