In Mari El sentenced for fictitious registration of a foreigner
A resident of the Gornomariysky district issued a residence permit to a citizen of Azerbaijan, knowing in advance that he would not live there.
The Gornomarysky district court convicted a local resident who became a defendant in the case of fictitious registration of a foreign citizen.
As the investigation established, the woman was approached by a native of Azerbaijan with a request to register him at the place of stay in her apartment. The Russian woman gave her written consent and provided the necessary documents for the departments, although she understood in advance that the foreigner was not actually going to live at the specified address.
During the trial, she fully admitted guilt. The judge examined the case materials, took into account the woman's identity, her social status, financial situation and state of health. Taking into account mitigating circumstances and the absence of aggravating factors, the femid appointed her a punishment in the form of a monetary fine in the amount of 40 thousand rubles, the joint press service of the Mari El courts reports.
