In Yoshkar Ola, the culprit wanted to receive compensation for the cyclist
Yoshkar-Olinsky city court refused the owner of the car in compensation after an accident with a bicycle.

In July last year, a car and a cyclist left the adjacent territory failed to disperse in the capital. The car suffered mechanical damage.
Later, its owner appealed to the court with a claim to the cyclist: he demanded compensation for damages in the amount of 324,300 rubles, as well as the cost of assessing the repair of the car.
The court appointed an examination, which established that the driver of the car was to blame for the collision: he created an obstacle to traffic and did not give way to the cyclist, whose path he crossed. A cyclist, not crossing the carriageway at a pedestrian crossing, but moving within the boundaries of the sidewalk, was not obliged to hurry before the exit line from the adjacent territory. But the motorist had to slow down or stop the car in front of the intersection line with the pavement, so as not to interfere with vehicles that have an advantage in movement.
Thus, the court found no evidence of the cyclist’s guilt and denied the car owner in the lawsuit, the joint press service of the Mari El courts reports.
The court decision has entered into legal force.
