A resident of the Tver region was sentenced for stealing money

In the Rzhevsk city court considered a criminal case against a local resident, the press service of the court reported.

It was established that the man in a drunken state was in one of the apartments in Rzhev legally. Knowing where the victim’s money is stored, he secretly came to the house and took the victim’s money in one of the rooms of the apartment. The defendant fled the scene with the abducted and disposed of it at his discretion.

The citizen in the court session fully admitted guilt in the committed crime and repented of what he had done. He was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The citizen was sentenced to a year and a half of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of one year.

The court also satisfied the civil claim filed by the victim for compensation for property damage caused by the crime.

The sentence has entered into force.
