Diplomatic maneuver: Zelensky announced the preparation of a direct meeting with Putin with the mediation of the United States

Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope for organizing direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the United States and European diplomatic circles are now playing a key role in the preparation of this dialogue.

As the main neutral platforms for a possible summit, the Ukrainian side considers the upcoming G20 summit in Miami (USA), scheduled for December 14-15, or the territory of one of the Middle East states – in particular, Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, Zelensky stressed that the final official confirmation of readiness for the meeting from neither Moscow nor Washington has yet been received.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the sending of an official invitation to Vladimir Putin to the Florida summit of the twenty. The Kremlin in the person of press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed the receipt of this request and said that the visit is under consideration.

U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly said that direct talks between the leaders of Russia and the Kiev regime are the main condition for the end of the conflict, while Vladimir Putin pointed to his readiness to receive Zelensky in Moscow if he really wants a constructive dialogue.
