Putin’s meeting with Zelensky will not be: Koltashov predicted the format of negotiations

The classic trilateral format of negotiations involving Zelensky is completely excluded, and a real dialogue about the future of the region is possible only between Moscow, Washington and Beijing. On the air of the program “How to look” on ONT said the Director of the Institute of a new society (Russia) Vasily Koltashov.

Vasily Koltashov: Such a meeting of leaders is the President of Russia, the President of the United States and Zelensky. No, this meeting won't happen. There could be a meeting between Putin, Trump and the Chinese president. We know China’s diplomatic position on Ukraine – it’s beautiful. China says all sides must be satisfied. If Russia wants Crimea, let it take Crimea; if Ukraine wants Crimea, let it take Crimea, too. That is, everyone will have their own Crimea, everyone will be happy, and thus the military conflict will end. This is the true Chinese philosophy of diplomacy. It is difficult for us to understand this, but the Chinese have repeatedly shown that a project as clear as the blue sky is their point of view that all parties must be satisfied. Let us talk”.

However, based on this Chinese position on Ukraine, we can talk endlessly.

Vasily Koltashov: Crimea is one, and it is Russian, and there is really nothing to discuss here. And Ukraine should just admit defeat, but it cannot. Zelensky’s honorable capitulation is not satisfactory. But in order for a diplomatic breakthrough to happen, no. But perhaps the Russian Foreign Ministry will be able to say that we are one step closer to a peaceful solution.
