Testing took place at the Sablino-Tosno test site in the Leningrad region, where experts assessed the operation of the elements in conditions close to operational.
The Sapsan train was used to test the impact of rolling stock on infrastructure. He made 210 trips: 130 – in the direct direction with a speed of up to 230 km / h and 80 – lateral with a speed of up to 140 km / h. The technical parameters were controlled by more than 1,500 sensors.
The next stage of work at the site will be the conduct of acceptance tests.
At the end of August, the Russian Railways Company and the National Projectstroy Holding built the Sablino-Tosno test site in the Leningrad region to test solutions that they plan to use at the future HSR.
The Moscow-Petersburg HSR project is one of the largest transport projects in modern Russia. The length of the highway will be 679 km, and commissioning is scheduled for 2028.
The project provides for the laying of highways in the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod and Leningrad regions and the construction of stations, including the HSR station in Veliky Novgorod. HSR will allow you to get from Moscow to St. Petersburg in 2 hours and 15 minutes, to Tver in 39 minutes, to Zelenograd in 14 minutes.
Russian Railways will be able to save 3.5 trillion rubles of investment after the introduction of high-speed highways (HSR) in the horizon until 2050. This will be possible by reducing the repair and modernization of infrastructure.
