Experts told Volgograd residents whether it is possible to take a vacation for one day

According to experts, the division of annual leave into parts is regulated by Article 125 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. Employees may arrange short rest periods, including one or three days, by agreement with the employer.

The main requirement of the legislation is that at least one period of rest during the working year must last at least 14 calendar days. The rest of the days are divided as you like. The law does not set a minimum threshold of five or seven days. If short vacations are prescribed in advance in the schedule, the management cannot refuse them. If the rest is needed outside the schedule, it is issued by agreement with the director.

Standard paid leave is 28 calendar days per year. If the Volgograd citizen did not rest in previous years, the accumulated days can be used in the current period. There is no upper limit on the number of days in the law. For example, by agreement with the employer, an employee can go on vacation for 56 days or more.
