Kostyukovichi State College is firmly established in the status of the main personnel donor for the real sector of the district's economy. Here prepare those without whom it is impossible to imagine the life of the modern region: tractor drivers, locksmiths, sellers and, of course, masons-plaster. After all, this axiom has long been known: if there is construction in the area, the engines of equipment in the fields are buzzing and enterprises are working, then he lives. The educational institution does not just give young people diplomas, but purposefully closes vacancies at leading enterprises, guaranteeing each graduate a confident start in the profession and one hundred percent employment.

279 people study at the full-time department of the college, another 15 receive a popular specialty of welder at the evening department, combining study with work. The structure of the institution includes eight training groups in the district center and three groups in the branch, successfully operating in the Khotim district. Every year the number of students is growing, and the admissions committee is more confident in closing the planned figures. Periods of shortages are in the past, and now applicants come here consciously.
Svetlana Motyanko, deputy director for educational work, emphasizes that the secret of such popularity lies in the direct linking of training to the demands of the labor market:
- Our graduates are in demand at key facilities in the region. They are successfully employed at the Belarusian Cement Plant, a recognized industrial flagship of the district, in Kostyukovichi PMK No. 260, as well as in large retail chains and stores of Belkoopsoyuz, where the demand for sellers and cashiers is traditionally high.

Every year, the college produces about 50 skilled workers, while receiving from employers from 40-50 applications for personnel. One hundred percent distribution is a real indicator of reliability. At the same time, the right to choose the first workplace is traditionally granted to excellent students, which serves as a serious incentive for children. The number of target contracts is also growing, increasing annually by 2-3 units. There are now 12 of them. Among the permanent partners who rely on targeted training, the same OJSC "Belarusian Cement Plant" and Kostyukovichi PMK No. 260, as well as Kostyukovichi Zhovkommunkhoz, garment production of LLC "Prombytstil", the enterprise "Grandma's Compound" in Khotimsk and leading agricultural organizations of the region.

To train highly qualified specialists, the college has a “Training Shop”, a modern sewing workshop and its own “kamenka”. Inclusive breakthrough College does not stop there and constantly introduces advanced educational practices. In the current academic year, he became one of the pioneers in the country, testing a unique project – a group of inclusive education under the program of labor adaptation for people with special needs. Prior to this, a similar experience was developed only in Osipovichi, where Kotyukovichi teachers specially went for an internship.
- We have already had a successful experience of releasing a group of 12 children with peculiarities of psychophysical development, who received a specialty in plastering. Now they successfully work at their first jobs in Kostyukovichi, Khotimsky and Klimovichi districts. We carefully follow their path, the guys have perfectly adapted to society. The new project is an even deeper, specialized program, which we developed from scratch together with the Main Department of Education of the Regional Executive Committee and the Mogilev State Regional Institute for Education Development. In addition to the profession, we will give children important life reference points and household skills. And yet the main, strategic directions remain drivers of category C and bricklayers-plaster. It is in the stone workshop that the foundation for future construction of the district is laid. Here, under the guidance of experienced masters of industrial training, children master the theory and practice of building walls.

- In the "kamenka" fix the technology of stone works. Children study the types, sizes and faces of bricks, master complex systems of seam dressing. Almost from the first classes, they learn to lay out walls of different thicknesses - in half a brick, a brick and a half, and build corners and complex decorative arches from ceramic and silicate material.
17-year-old Danila Pozhidaev is in his third year as a bricklayer-welder-plaster.
- Since childhood I have been able to work with an instrument. We live in a well-maintained apartment, but we have a shed and a garage, so I often help seniors harvest firewood in the village, repair something. In college, they also learned about technology. I like to see the real results of my work. They say that today’s young people are lazy and afraid of manual labor, but I prove the opposite by my example. A working specialty is money here and now, and the profession is in your pocket even before the age of majority, says Danila.
His classmate, 17-year-old Nikolai Abramenko from the village of Smolki, came to the profession following the example of his father, who spent his whole life successfully building houses both in Belarus and abroad. The skills learned in college are already being used at home. Recently, he helped his father completely disassemble and re-lay the oven in the village house, and good ovens today are worth their weight in gold:
I plan to continue my studies at the next stage of education in Mogilev. I want to get an engineering degree so that I can not only build with my hands, but also professionally design buildings, connecting my life with the construction industry at a higher level.
AND THEN?
A strategic vision for the future for the college is the large-scale construction of a new two-storey building for all workshops and laboratories, scheduled for 2030. Now the training sites are dispersed throughout the territory, and the construction of a single complex will allow you to collect sewing, stone, welding laboratories and training stores under one roof, bringing the educational process to a fundamentally new level. The bricks of the future
Young masons-plaster create the foundation of the native land

Kostyukovichi PMK No. 260 is without exaggeration called the main building engine of the district. Industrial enterprises, advanced agro-industrial complex facilities, modern schools, kindergartens, cozy housing and social infrastructure - the geography and profile of the organization cover all spheres of life in the region. The main forge of specialists for PMC for many years remains Kostyukovichi State College. This year, the team was joined by ten young specialists, eight of whom are graduates of a local college, who received the specialty “mason-plaster”. For yesterday’s students, this is a great chance to start a career in a stable company, and for an enterprise – confidence in the future.
About how this work is built, said human resources specialist Natalia Pozdnyakova:
- We have a long-standing partnership and a formal contract with the college. We interact through the state system of personnel ordering, annually updating vacancy data. Colleagues prepare for us masons, plasters, electric gas welders and drivers. This year, staffing requirements were completely closed. Of our ten newcomers, eight are college graduates: two plasters and six masons. By the way, the replenishment this time is exclusively male.
We are also considering targeted training, although there were no applicants this year. But the classic scheme “practice – employment” works flawlessly.
- Students come to our facilities during their studies. We look at each other, get to know each other. After graduation, they return to work. Of course, theory and real construction are different things, so on the ground guys have to finish training specific operations, prompt and help them adapt, continues Natalia Nikolaevna. Interesting, useful and profitable! Three recruits work in a construction team on the modernization of the boiler room near the agro-town of Tupicino. Interesting object. Here they change gas boilers for new ones, and one of them will work on chips and pellets. The project provides for automatic fuel supply and the construction of a new warehouse for storing chips. Now the site is improving the territory, changing communications and preparing rooms for equipment that will provide heat to the entire agro-town. “Of the disadvantages of the work of the builder are physical exertion and the need to work in the fresh air in any weather. But the advantages are still more: you see the result of your work and every day you face new challenges.” The mason Ilya Udadnikov in the summer became a certified specialist and joined the ranks of Kostyukovichi PMK. Says:
- Before that, I had a manufacturing practice here. I come from the agro-town of Berezka in the neighboring Khotimsky district. I decided to go to college because since childhood I dreamed of building. There were no builders in the family, but I always enjoyed watching the craftsmen work. I was so excited, I wanted to try it myself.
The 20-year-old was well received.
- The reception was very warm, for which thank you very much. The conditions created the most comfortable, immediately paid lift. They never refuse advice. My parents supported me and are very proud of my choice. When I tell them where I am and what I am building, I feel they are happy for me. I want to work in construction, but I look at the profession more broadly. I do not rule out that after working out I will continue my studies at the university to learn our business from all possible sides - from hands to management. But again, if I see the prospect of career growth, perhaps I will tie fate to PMC for a longer period of time. There is still time to make a final decision, says Ilya.

The stonemason Artem Sartakov came to study at Kotyukovichi College from Krasnopol after the ninth grade. The guy was eager to get an applied profession. And so it turned out: at the age of 18, he is already a certified specialist. Artem recalls:
- Before college, I helped my dad build a garage and cover the roof, so I had the skills, then college gave me a great base. On the modernization of the boiler room, I lay paving slabs. Mentors are always there, prompting and helping if something goes wrong.
The salary of the young specialist is satisfied, he was provided with housing - he was given a room in the hostel.
- Conditions are good. There is hot water, shower, all amenities, he lists. By the way, I studied in the same group with the guys with whom I work now. In practice, we were at the same facilities - at the overhaul of the Kostyukovichi Museum of Local Lore and at the construction of the MTK in the Slavgorod district. In the future, I plan to develop in the construction sector, and who exactly I will become – life will tell. For those who are afraid to work with their hands, I want to say: do not doubt. You just have to try to figure out if it's yours or not. Interesting, useful and profitable!

Roman Kremzikov is also 18 years old and is also from Krasnopol. However, with Artem they studied in different schools, met in college.
- And then together we got to the PMK on distribution, says Roman. My brother Alexander motivated me to become a builder. He is ten years older than me, he has a lot of experience, now works in Minsk as an electric welder. I’ve always loved that his work is really useful. My brother worked in a variety of facilities, including furniture and food factories.
At the same time, the young plaster realized from his own experience that the work of the builder is not easy:
- Of the minuses - physical work in the fresh air in any weather: in the cold, and in the rain, and in the heat. We’ve been through this before, so we’re okay. But the advantages outweigh the visible benefits and the fact that here is never boring.

Roman Kremzikov Build where was born Mason Alexei Gerasichkin 24 years. After the army, a graduate of Kotyukovichi College returned to PMC No. 260 and became someone you can always rely on. The young man saves for his own housing in the district center and looks confidently into tomorrow:
- There is a lot of talk about the development of strong regions, and this concept is very close to me. Who, if not young, to build the future of their small homeland – and in our case in the most direct, tangible sense. The Young Case
Every tenth employee of PMK No. 260 is under the age of 31 years.
IN "BLUE" THEME
PMK No. 260 does everything for the comfort of young professionals. The company guarantees payments provided for by law and is ready to provide housing. In addition, the collective agreement stipulates bonuses for those children who decide to return to the organization after military service.
