Readiness 80-85 percent: construction of overpass in Zhdanovichi reaches the finish line
The progress of construction work on the new overpass, which will connect the streets of Kolesnikov and Timiryazev in Minsk, discussed today, October 13, during the exit.

The progress of construction work on the new overpass, which will connect Kolesnikov and Timiryazev streets in Minsk, was discussed today, October 13, during a visiting meeting, which was held at the site by the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev.

Director of the state enterprise "Gordorstroy" Sergey Panev reported on the current readiness of the facility, which is now about 80-85%. This figure is increasing daily. The main work is planned to be completed before the end of the year.
On the mounted sections of the bridge, waterproofing is laid. Next is the device of protective layers and asphalt concrete coating. The congresses are already ready, and the remaining work is focused on the completion of individual structural elements, sidewalks and landscaping.
- We were ahead of regulatory deadlines. The result is provided by people, competent organization of work and round-the-clock, without weekends, construction mode, said Sergey Panev.

Depending on the type of work on the overpass, 45 to 150 people are involved daily.

- By its design, this is already a familiar solution for bridge builders: such beams are used in many facilities of the country. However, the work is time-consuming and requires coordinated actions of specialists. At the same time, mainly domestic materials are used - from reinforcement and concrete to metal structures and fences, Sergey Rubchenya explained.

The new overpass should not only provide convenient travel between the Frunze and Central districts of the capital, but also redistribute traffic flows. The number of lanes will change from three to five as you approach the intersection. Expansion is provided for the organization of turns and movement at traffic lights.

The total length of the structure is about 381 meters, the width depending on the site - from 41 to 48 meters. For pedestrians, sidewalks and ramps are provided, and a bicycle path is equipped on one side. Stageless approaches will make movement more convenient, including for people with limited mobility. They will also allow the use of compact utility equipment in the maintenance of the facility.
Work on the overpass is carried out in stages. Completion of the last flight is scheduled for October 20. Then they plan to monolyze the joints, make a deformation seam and finish the installation of the elements of the sidewalk parts. By November 10, the builders expect to complete this complex of works, after which they will begin to install the finishing layers of the coating. Specific dates will depend on weather conditions.

The main work is planned to be completed by the end of 2026. Next year it is planned to leave separate operations requiring suitable temperature conditions, including painting and some finishing work. Before full operation, the structure will undergo the necessary tests, according to the results of which experts will assess its reliability. A new highway to the Minsk residential complex “Northern Coast” is planned to open before the end of the year
