GZD completed the preparation of stations and trains in the Kirov region to the cold
The branch of Russian Railways reported on the readiness of railway transport facilities in the region for sustainable operation in winter

At the stations, specialists conducted a thorough audit of lighting systems, compressor units, pneumatic cleaning equipment for switches and communication devices.
In addition, service and technical buildings and structures, as well as heat and water communication, designed to operate in low temperatures, were checked.
Special attention during the seasonal work was paid to the passenger direction.
To stay comfortable even in severe frosts, railway workers organized large-scale maintenance of locomotives, as well as suburban carriages and long-distance trains.
Specialists checked the tightness of window and door openings, serviceability of climatic systems, heating and water supply.
Brake units, electrical equipment, automatic fire extinguishing systems and heating systems for environmentally friendly toilets were diagnosed.
Preparatory activities for the snow removal park are also being completed. In the winter months, 21 units of special vehicles will provide the clearing of roads in the Kirov region.
These include 10 snowplows, 6 snowplows, 1 snowplow, 1 self-propelled snowplow train, and 3 track cleaning machines with brushes for cleaning fresh snow.
The fleet of special vehicles is distributed on key nodes of the highway.
Basing of equipment is organized at stations Kirov, Kirov-Kotlassky, Kotelnich, Luza, Murashi and Lyangasovo in the Kirov region, as well as at stations Balesino and Glazov in the Udmurt Republic.
This placement allows you to quickly respond to the deterioration of weather conditions and eliminate snow drifts on the tracks.
The necessary conditions for safe service in the open air have also been created for the staff of the highway. All railway workers were provided with sets of warm overalls, special shoes and means of protection against frostbite.
Employees recently admitted to the staff have undergone a mandatory course of training in the rules of occupational health and safety when working in difficult weather conditions.
