Every piece of sausage in the finished olive from the supermarket can be traced
In Russia, there will be sanitary rules for ready food from supermarkets and delivery services

Future sanitary rules for finished food will reflect the issues of identification, packaging, labeling and safety of products, Timur Muragimov told senators. The draft document was developed by Rospotrebnadzor and is currently undergoing the necessary approvals.
We are just beginning to pass all procedures, including with interested associations, the business community and federal executive authorities, the representative of Rospotrebnadzor said.
Under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, a special working group on ready-made food has been created, said Nikita Kuznetsov, director of the department for the development of domestic trade. He noted that decisions could only be taken with full consensus within the group. So far, unanimity between food and trade has not been achieved. The parties relied on the terminology - what is considered ready-made food.
There are reasonable arguments on both sides. In particular, colleagues from catering rightly point out that we have ready-made food – this is a large part of what is present in the range. For example, is sausage ready-made food? Ready. Is it a blend product? Yeah. He took it, opened it, sliced it and ate it. There are nuances here, Kuznetsov explained. According to him, the discussion within the “edible” working group will continue, which, however, does not hinder the development of the market and the efforts of Rospotrebnadzor to create sanitary rules. For its part, the Ministry of Industry and Trade supports the development of such a document, the director of the profile department emphasized.
In turn, Rosselkhoznadzr insists on the implementation of manufacturers of ready-made culinary dishes and delivery services basic rules that are already prescribed in technical regulations.
“We have always advocated that producers meet the basic requirements that are imposed on all groups of food products,” said Anna Babushkina, a representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor. In particular, we are talking about the origin of products that are used in dishes can be traced.
In 2024-25, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists checked large services for the delivery of finished food. As a result, a large number of suppliers were found not registered in government monitoring systems.
“Food products that were used as raw materials had no traceability and documents,” said Babushkina.
