Kursk tenth-graders passed the “Digital Lesson” about 3D-technologies

In school No. 5 named after I. P. Volk held the first in the academic year “Lesson of numbers” – for tenth graders, about 3D-technologies. Since 2018, the project has been implemented by ANO “Digital Economy”, the Ministry of Digital Services and the Ministry of Education of Russia in support of the federal project “Personnel for Digital Transformation” of the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State”.

The lesson “Artificial Intelligence: 3D Technologies” was prepared by the Contribution to the Future Foundation with the support of Sber. Students learned how neural networks create and optimize three-dimensional objects.

The guys figured out what 3D modeling is and how to transfer a real object to the digital. In practice, with the help of simulators, they opened their 3D studio and made objects for the school technology festival, tried to compose queries for image generation and assembled the first program from teams.

We worked in teams, received certificates in the final.

Tatyana Kovaleva, Head of the Department of Public Communications and Implementation of Electronic Document Management of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Kursk Region, noted: the guys saw how the digital idea with the help of 3D becomes a reality, and AI accelerates the creation of models. She stressed that it is important for schoolchildren not only to know about technologies, but also to apply them in practice - from industry to medicine and design. Kovaleva hopes that the lesson will help high school students with the choice of profession.
