Lipchan explained the legal consequences of rudeness and insults in the team

Residents of the Lipetsk region explained when the employer has the right to punish an employee for rudeness and conflicts with colleagues. The position of lawyer Evgeny Masharov was published by the TASS news agency.

The management can apply disciplinary punishment for toxicity if the rules of polite communication are directly enshrined in the employment contract or internal rules of the company. In this case, rudeness and sabotage are interpreted under the Labor Code as a failure to perform official duties.

An employee can be punished for quarrels in corporate messengers. The lawyer stressed that courts usually equate correspondence in closed work chats with public statements, since third parties see insults.
