Not salt, but chemistry? Roskoshestvo named 5 brands that are better not to take
We checked dozens of brands - most are better than GOST, but three found inconsistencies

Roskoshestvo studied dozens of brands of table salt. The conclusion is unexpected: more than half of the samples were better than required by GOST. That rarely happens.
But there were some comments. Several brands have received claims for grinding and sodium chloride concentrations. Nothing was found dangerous to health, but it is worth investigating.
Who can be trusted
The best among domestic manufacturers are recognized:
Iletskaya and Sea Salt were especially noted – they received the Quality Mark. Composition, cleanliness and packaging - according to the most stringent requirements. If you don't want to guess, take them.
Imported without claims
There are no questions about imports either: La Baleine, Atlantika, Vatel, Billa, Gemma di mare and Slavyana are in order.
Nuance: they cannot claim Russian marking, they are not assigned a quality mark. They are suitable for everyday use.
Comments from three brands:
No harmful impurities. Usually, such discrepancies are about packaging and labeling, not about the product itself. But if grinding is principled - these brands are better to bypass.
What grinding for what
Iodized salt
Shelf life and tightness are important here. Potassium iodidate evaporates when in contact with air, especially if the package is opened or stored in a wet place.
After the period, the salt ceases to be iodized, although the taste retains. If you take for prevention - take small packages and keep tightly closed. And look at the production date.
Salt isn't just for eating
Dry crystals absorb moisture and smells. A jar of salt in the closet will relieve mustyness and protect from dampness.
And salt helps to preserve fresh greens for the winter - without vinegar and sterilization. Parsley, dill or basil are sprinkled in layers, and they remain fragrant months. For those who do not like preservatives, but want fresh seasoning on hand.
There's a difference between brands. Most stamps are decent, and the remarks were about grinding and marking, not safety. Choose your destination and look at the packaging.
