Penzens told about the popular eating habit that increases the risk of stroke
Excessive salt intake can seriously harm health and increase the risk of stroke.

Excessive salt intake can seriously harm health and increase the risk of stroke.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Penza region, this was recalled by specialists of the portal takzdorovo.ru during the week of dealing with stroke.
Experts explained that excess salt contributes to fluid retention in the body, which increases the volume of circulating blood and increases blood pressure. Hypertension is considered one of the main risk factors for stroke.
At the same time, experts recalled that a stroke can occur both due to blockage of the blood vessel (ischemic stroke) and due to its rupture (hemorrhagic stroke). Increased pressure increases the likelihood of both conditions.
To reduce the risks, Penza residents are recommended to consume no more than 5 grams of salt per day - about one teaspoon without a slide. It is important to take into account the salt that is already contained in finished products.
Also, experts advise to use sausages, sausages, semi-finished products and fast food less often, cook at home and pay attention to the composition of products when buying. In addition, it is recommended to abandon the habit of salting already cooked dishes.
Reducing the amount of salt in the diet will help control blood pressure and reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
