In Karelia, about 60 kg of poor-quality pastries and sweets were withdrawn from sale

The regional department of Rospotrebnadzor summed up the results of inspections of bakery and confectionery products for three quarters of 2026. During the inspections, which covered 20 production facilities and more than 48 stores, experts identified violations at 12 points.

In total, experts analyzed 157 samples of products. It turned out that 3.8% of samples do not meet microbiological standards, which is a positive trend compared to last year (then the figure was 5.2%).

As a result of raids, 12 consignments of goods with a total weight of 59.8 kg were withdrawn from circulation. The main reasons were the sale of expired products and the lack of marking with the date of manufacture. Administrative proceedings have been initiated against violators.
