In the Tambov region for a question about football, a man was brutally beaten on the head

The appellate instance recognized as lawful and justified the decision of the court of first instance against a man found guilty of intentional harm to health of medium gravity.

According to the case materials, the incident occurred on December 6, 2025 in the evening near one of the apartment buildings in the city of Uvarovo, Tambov region. The convict, using a minor reason - the question of the victim about whether he will participate in a football match - acting from hooligan motives, struck the citizen at least three punches in the face.

As a result of the wrongful acts, the victim suffered bodily injuries, including closed traumatic brain injury, concussion, fracture of the bones of the nose with displacement, hematomas and a bruised wound. These injuries resulted in a temporary disruption of the functions of organs and systems lasting more than three weeks.

The court of first instance found the attacker guilty of intentional infliction of moderate harm to health from hooligan motives, and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment with serving in a colony-settlement. In addition, from the convicted in favor of the victim was recovered compensation for moral damage in the amount of 300 thousand rubles.

The defense of the convicted appealed against the sentence, challenging the qualification of the act as committed “out of hooligan motives”, as well as the size of the imposed punishment and the amount of compensation for moral damage.

Following consideration of the appeal, the court of second instance found no grounds for changing the sentence. The decision of the court of first instance was left unchanged, and the complaint of the convicted person was not satisfied.
