Drivers were shocked by new traffic police fines in November-2027: a list of violations that will ruin you before the end of the year
The autumn of 2026 brought motorists large-scale legislative changes

Burning benefits and trap 30 days
The reduced discount mechanism for paying fines has fully earned. If previously motorists used to close debts to the budget for half the price, now the size of the discount is only 25%. Despite the fact that the legislators formally agreed and extended the grace period from 20 to 30 days, in practice, drivers began to lose even this exemption.
The reason lies in the rigid legal nuance: the 30-day timer is launched strictly from the date of the issuance of the order by the inspector or automatic system, and not from the moment of the actual receipt of a paper “letter of happiness” in the mail. If the notification was delayed on the way or fell into the personal account of the State Services with a delay, the car owner has to compensate the state 100% of the cost of his violation. In addition, there is no discount for gross misconduct, such as retracing a red light or going to the oncoming lane.
Why the ruble is hit hardest this autumn
Statistics of the State Traffic Inspectorate show that the top most expensive violations of this autumn included both traditional offenses and specific seasonal oversights:
Restriction on “serial” OSAGO violations
September brought important clarity to one of the most contentious issues - fines for not having a compulsory auto insurance policy. The amount of recovery for driving without CTP has not changed and is 800 rubles for the first incident and from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles for the second.
However, now the rule is legally approved: to fine for the absence of a traffic police policy or automatic complexes can not more than once a day. This will save drivers from the risk of collecting a garland of dozens of fines for a single trip under multiple cameras, giving them 24 hours to process documents.
Lawyers remind: if you ignore the notification and do not close the debt within the prescribed 70 days (10 on appeal plus 60 on voluntary payment), the case will automatically go to the bailiff service. The FSSP charges an additional execution fee of 12% and gets the right to block bank accounts of the defaulter or impose a ban on registration actions with the vehicle.
Seasonal trap: fines for winter tyres
With the approach of cold weather, the technical condition of the wheels falls under special control of traffic police inspectors. According to the current list of malfunctions in which the operation of vehicles is prohibited, drivers face a fine for discrepancy of tires to the season. In the winter months – December, January and February – it is strictly forbidden to move on summer tires. A similar ban applies in the summer on the use of studded rubber.
In the autumn, inspectors begin to actively punish for critical wear of the tread. If the car owner decides to “roll” old winter tires, the residual depth of the tread pattern of which is less than 4 mm (for icy or snowy coating), he will be fined. The penalty for driving bald or unsuitable rubber is 500 rubles for each recorded case. At the same time, the inspector has the right not only to write out a protocol, but also to issue an official requirement to eliminate a malfunction, the failure of which threatens the driver with administrative arrest.
