Volgograd residents learned that red caviar for the New Year will be enough

The head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov told reporters that red caviar in the Russian market for the New Year will be enough.

“There will be enough caviar by the New Year. Many of our companies, including the state company DRUK, which manages seized assets, supply the available volumes of fish and caviar to the domestic market. Therefore, the caviar will absolutely suffice, Shestakov said.

The decline in salmon catch this year was linked to climate change and significant water warming. Fishing forecast for 2027 will be prepared in the spring.
