“Honestly, I still have so many emotions that I can’t sum up anything. I'm just insanely happy. A little bit, of course, I myself understand that this is Barcelona, but I am still a maximalist and disappointed that we lost, so there is room to grow in the team plan, said Batrakov.
21-year-old Batrakov became the first Russian since 2021, who scored in the Champions League, as well as the first since 2011, who was able to score Barcelona.
Batrakov joined the Istanbul club from Lokomotiv on August 20 for €25 million. The midfielder now has two assists and one goal in seven games for Galatasaray.
In the next round of the Champions League, Galatasaray will play against the French Lille on October 21.
