Conference League match interrupted due to pyrotechnics
Because of the fireworks, the match between Haiduk and Ajax was stopped in the 77th minute. Stadium “Polyud” enveloped in thick smoke, and the players were forced to leave the field

The conference League match between Haiduk and Ajax in Split was stopped due to an incident with pyrotechnics. The meeting, held at the Polyud stadium, was interrupted in the 77th minute.
With the score 2: 1 in favor of the hosts, the fans lit a lot of fireworks, wrapping the arena in thick smoke and forcing players to leave the field. After a 12-minute pause, the match resumed, but the stadium announcer warned that another firecracker thrown would lead to a final stop.
As a result, “Hayduk” brought the game to victory thanks to goals of Abduliya Sanyang (37) and Marina Shotichek (55). Ajax's only goal was scored by Davi Klassen (53).
This incident was a continuation of a series of problems: the day before the match in Split there were clashes between fans of Ajax, there were also extremist slogans.
