Vorobyov announced the final decision of Metallurg to dismiss Razin
Andrey Razin was previously suspended by Magnitogorsk Metallurg from working with the team due to disagreements with the players

The leadership of Magnitogorsk Metallurg made the final decision to dismiss coach Andrei Razin after his suspension. This was stated by the former coach of the Magnitagorsk team Ilya Vorobyov in the program “In touch” from the KHL.
Metallurg has not yet released an official statement regarding Razin’s future in the team.
The club made a decision, there was a conflict that has been going on for a long time. Then they will somehow negotiate payments, there is a large amount. Apparently, they will negotiate, or he will be released, or will sit in the Chelyabinsk region. This is the first case when Magnitka does this with suspension, Vorobyov said.
Vorobyov noted that the club and the coach “have their own truth”, and “the truth is in the middle”.
Ex-coach of KHL clubs Dmitry Ryabykin in the same program expressed confidence that Razin will not return to the post of head coach of Metallurg.
Earlier, Metallurg decided to suspend Razin from working with the team due to disagreements between the players and the coach “both on game issues and the nature of interaction.”.
Razin, 52, has been leading Metallurg since 2023. In 2024, the team under his leadership won the Gagarin Cup, and the coach was recognized as the best of the season. Last season, Magnitogorsk reached the semifinals of the KHL playoffs, losing to Ak Bars (1-4).
