Enzo Maresca sets Premier League record by winning first seven games against City
Maresca became the first in the history of the Premier League, who was able to win the first seven matches after being appointed as head coach. He beat Guardiola, Ancelotti and Solskjaer, each with six wins

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca set a record for the English Premier League (EPL), winning his first seven matches at the head of the club after the appointment, the press service of the club reports.
The record was set after the victory over Ipswich Town (3: 2) in the seventh round of the Premier League. Maresca surpassed Josep Guardiola (City in 2016/17), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea; 2009/10) and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Manchester United; 2018/19), who have won their first six matches with the clubs.
Maresca, 46, took charge of City in June, succeeding Spaniard Josep Guardiola, who left the club after ten years in the job. Previously, the specialist headed Chelsea. He won with the team the Conference League (2024/25) and the Club World Cup (2025), but was sacked in January.
In the first seven rounds under the leadership of Mareska, City scored 21 points and leads in the Premier League standings, breaking away by six points from the nearest pursuer - Arsenal (15).
