Coach of the Russian national team was placed in a room with bedbugs at the World Cup in Rotterdam
Ivan Gaponenko posted a video from the room with a large number of bed bugs on the bed. According to him, after the complaint, he was given another number and offered to take things to dry cleaning

Coach of the Russian national gymnastics team Ivan Gaponenko said on Instagram (owned by Meta, the company is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) that he was put in a room with bedbugs at the world championships in Rotterdam.
“The fun continues: I went to bed early yesterday after a long flight and slept very poorly all night. I thought I was bitten by mosquitoes. In the end, it turned out that I was bitten by room bugs, Gaponenko said in the video and showed the bed, which had many bedbugs.
The coach later told Match TV that hotel staff had provided him with a different room, and had asked for his belongings to ferry and dry clean.
The TV channel notes that this is the official hotel from the organizing committee of the tournament.
The World Cup started on October 17. Russian gymnasts perform without national symbols.
Athletes have had problems with visas to the Netherlands. Leaders of the women’s team of Russia Angelina Melnikova, Victoria Listunova and Anna Kalmykova Netherlands refused visas. The International Gymnastics Federation has expressed regret over this decision. A number of athletes received passports a few days before the start of the tournament (October 14-15).
