Russian national football team announced the last opponent in 2026

The Russian football team will hold a friendly match with the Venezuelan team in Krasnodar on November 17. This is reported on the RFU website.

This game will be the second meeting of the November international window for Valery Karpin’s team and the last in 2026. Earlier it was announced that the Russian team will hold a match with Uzbekistan in Tashkent on November 12.

For the national teams of Russia and Venezuela, this will be the first meeting at the level of national teams. The USSR national team once played against Venezuela - February 1, 1981 (1: 1).

Since 2022, the Russian national team has been holding only friendly matches – FIFA and UEFA suspended it from their tournaments due to the military operation in Ukraine.

In September and October, Karpin’s team defeated Iran (2-0) and Namibia (6-0), and also drew with Nigeria (3-3).
