Lasertag recognized as an official sport in Russia
Russian Laser Combat Federation passes state accreditation

Laser combat (laser tag) is recognized as an official sport in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sport.
The Russian Laser Combat Federation has successfully passed state accreditation.
“This event opens a new chapter in the development of the discipline: now tournaments have official status, and laser tag has become a full-fledged part of the country’s large sports family,” the statement said.
After the recognition of laser tag as a sport, its standards are included in the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification. Now participants can systematically confirm their skills and receive official ranks. Tournaments will be held according to the regulated rules, and judges will undergo mandatory accreditation.
Laser tag is a team military tactical game using safe laser weapons and sensors that detect hits. Sensors are placed on vests, helmets or bandages.
