Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova could not reach the semifinals of the WTA 500 tournament in the Chinese Ningbo.
In the 1/4 finals, the 31-year-old Russian lost to Canadian Leyla Fernandez, the 30th racket of the world, with a score of 6:4, 2:6, 1:6.
Fernandez's next rival will be Czech Maria Bouzkova.
Alexandrova takes 33rd place in the world ranking (the fourth of the Russian women). She has won five WTA titles.
